"Swastik" Lodge No. 771 I.C., established in 1955 in post-independence Bombay, emerged as the fourth Irish Lodge, after which the Provincial Grand Lodge of Western India (I.C.) was established. The Lodge, approved to carry the name "Swastik" symbolizing peace and prosperity, marked significant milestones such as presenting a Banner to the Provincial Grand Lodge in 1967 and hosting a memorable Open Air Meeting in 2012. Renowned members have played key roles in the administration and governance of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ireland in India, contributing to the Lodge's robust ritual working and effective administration, ensuring its continued prominence in Freemasonry in India. The Lodge has a reputation of being innovative and forward-thinking; and it is a Thought Leader in the Irish Masonic Fraternity in India, and has the reputation of being the best governed and administered Lodge in the Province for the last 3 decades.
